Awera Privacy Policy

Awera ("Awera", "we", "us") provides AI-powered video intelligence for managed sites such as residential communities and commercial buildings. The Awera service is operated by Awera Labs Private Limited. This policy explains what information the Awera apps (including the Awera iOS app) and the Awera platform handle, and how.

Who the service is for

Awera is a business service. Your Awera account is created and managed by your site operator (for example, your building's management company), who is our customer. The cameras shown in Awera belong to and are operated by that site operator on their premises — not by Awera and not by you personally.

Information we collect

Account information. Name, email address, and role, provided when your site operator creates your account. Used to sign you in, control what you can see, and attribute actions (such as acknowledging an alert) in the operations log.

Camera video and derived data. Video from the site's cameras is processed by the Awera platform on behalf of the site operator to generate live views, alerts, short clips, and keyframes. The app displays this content; it does not record it to your device. Awera processes this data as a service provider to the site operator, who determines what is monitored and who has access.

Usage and diagnostic data. Standard technical logs (such as API requests and errors) needed to operate and secure the service. The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites. (The awera.ai website is different, and is covered in This website below.)

Device camera and location — setup only. Staff who install equipment can scan the QR code on an Awera kit to connect it to a site; the scan happens on the device and the image is not stored or sent to us. On the same screens they may optionally record where an outdoor camera stands, which sends that one location to us and stores it against the camera so the site plan shows where it is. Both are used only while placing equipment. Everyone else never sees these screens, and the app never follows your location in the background or while you are simply using it.

Device access we do not use. The app does not access your microphone, photo library, or contacts. If you enable notifications, your device's push token is stored so we can deliver alerts.

How we use information

• To provide the service: authentication, live viewing, alerts, notifications, and operations tracking.
• To secure the service and prevent abuse.
• We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except infrastructure providers needed to run the service (hosting, push delivery), under contractual confidentiality.

Storage, security, and retention

All communication between the app and the platform uses TLS (HTTPS, and encrypted WebRTC for live video). Your sign-in token is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. Video-derived data (alerts, clips, keyframes) is retained according to the site operator's configuration and our operational limits, then deleted. Account data is retained while the account is active.

This website

This section is about awera.ai, the website you are reading now. It is separate from the Awera app and platform described above; no camera footage or site account data is involved.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used — which pages people read, how they found us, and where they run into difficulty. Clarity also records session replays and heatmaps of page activity, meaning mouse movement, scrolling and clicks. Both services set cookies and both receive your IP address and browser details. We use this only to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and Microsoft's in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. If you would rather not be included, blocking cookies for this site in your browser, or using your browser's tracking-protection setting, stops both.

The trial form. If you fill in the form asking for a 30-day trial, the details you enter — your name, email address, phone number and information about your site — are sent to us so that we can contact you about it. They are not used for anything else and are not passed to anyone outside Awera.

Your choices and rights

• Access, correction, or deletion of your account: contact your site operator, or email us at hello@awera.ai and we will process the request with them. Account deletion removes your credentials and personal identifiers from the platform.
• Questions about camera placement or what is monitored at your site are decided by your site operator — contact them directly.
• Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional statutory rights (for example under India's DPDP Act, the GDPR, or similar laws); we honor applicable requests made via the contacts above.

Children

Awera is not directed at children, and accounts are provisioned only to site staff and authorized adults.

Changes

We will post any material changes to this policy at this URL and update the effective date.
